The Convertibles was a great little side group. We ended calling our music rockin' swingablly.  It was a combination of early rock and roll, rockabilly and swing. The members included Dennis Shaske on stand up bass, Tom Sorce on lead guitar, Mike Budde on drums and I played rhythm guitar. We all shared lead and harmony vocals. We played local clubs, outdoor festivals including Summerfest and the Wisconsin State Fair. We got to open for acts like BR-549, The Derailers, and Kim Lenz and her Jaguars. Our CD was co-released on our own Lulu Records and The Rockabilly Hall Of Fame Label. We also had two Convertibles tracks released on the Rockabilly Hall of Fame Label. Rockin' and Stompin' was released on The Rockabilly Hall Of Fame Volume 2 compilation. My original Hot Rod Road was released on The Rockabilly Hall Of Fame Volume 3 compilation. Get ready to boogie with this rockin' CD!
